YES, that’s right, and that  99 percent is tooth decay and gum disease, which is caused by Plaque Bacteria that feed on the food left on our teeth after meals. Dentists have an old saying  A CLEAN Tooth NEVER decays” But how do you get your teeth clean?

Basically, there are three factors in tooth decay TEETH, FOOD and BACTERIA. All three of these can be acted upon to achieve a Decay FREE mouth (See the YouTube Video above) and if we start early enough with our children they can have a beautiful smile that is free of any fillings and the associated dental treatment costs.

REMOVE DENTAL PLAQUE

Dental Plaque is a very soft sticky film (plaque) of food and bacteria that sticks to teeth to cause tooth decay, gum disease and tartar (calculus or scale) on your lower front teeth. It can be stained RED with a common food dye and the plaque revealing dye can be bought as liquid or tablets at most chemists. We advise you do a plaque disclosing once each week and brush WITHOUT toothpaste until your teeth look clean. Remove Dental Plaque DAILY with a toothbrush, floss AND toothpicks. Dental Mouthwashes are notoriously INEFFECTIVE at removing Dental Plaque..despite what the TV advertisements say.
